The childhood lead prevention and screening project is focused on removing language and cultural barriers to existing programs and services available in the broader community. The project uses bilingual community health outreach workers (CHOWs) who will assist inner-city, low-income families with young children for screening and treatment. The program is a partnership with the Cuyahoga County Board of Health and Environmental Health Watch. The project is partially funded by the Mt. Sinai Health Care Foundation.
