Rep. Sykes Announces Education Funding Hearing to be Held in Akron

COLUMBUS- State Rep. Vernon Sykes (D-Akron) announced the Ohio House Special Finance Subcommittee on Primary and Secondary Education Funding will hold a regional committee hearing in Akron. The special committee made up of Finance Committee Chairman Amstutz, Vice Chair McClain, Ranking Member Sykes and Representatives Lundy, Phillips, Hayes, Maag, and Stebelton.

The purpose of the regional school funding hearings is to engage the business community, philanthropic organizations, education stakeholders and citizens in various regions of the state with respect to their ideas, concerns and issues related to K-12 funding.
