Action: Help lower the naturalization fee

A message from The National Partnership for New Americans:

Action: Join us in helping lower the naturalization fee

The National Immigrant Integration Conference (NIIC) 2013 is underway, but whether you made it to Miami or not you can still join us. We know that, like us, you believe that New Americans make vital contributions to our democracy, economy, and to the strength of our communities.

However, too often, the high naturalization fee prices out the working poor and keeps the dream of becoming a citizen out of reach for millions of eligible legal permanent residents.

You can help! Join NIIC in urging U.S.C.I.S. Director Alejandro Mayorkas as his office reviews the naturalization fee structure, to make the route to citizenship affordable for hard working immigrants.

We are also calling on Congress to recognize the value of citizenship by investing in immigrant integration and putting naturalization fees within reach for our newest Americans.

Please join us in helping lower the naturalization fee by signing on to our letter.

Regardless of where you are today, join the conversation around NIIC 2013 by following @npnewamericans and @FLImmigrant on Twitter, and liking our Facebook page.

We hope to keep you engaged and see you at NIIC in 2014!
