ASIA receives grant from Kaiser Permanente to support diabetes prevention

Kaiser Permanente recently awarded Asian Services In Action $24,992 to support diabetes prevention, education, and outreach.  The funding will help support a local awareness campaign to educate the community about diabetes, risk factors, and preventative measures.  ASIA launched a diabetes prevention program in October 2009 that reached 111 people over the past ten months.  ASIA’s Community Health Promotions staff is looking forward to expanding the program and its impact.
