2016-6-4 OCA Y-Advocate Group

Saturday, June 4th, 33 Asian Pacific American Youth participated in a leadership training conference hosted by OCA Greater Cleveland. The program for high school students focused on the development of APA youth in our communities. Students developed leadership skills, gained awareness of social justice issues, and have a greater understanding of the importance of advocating. Asian Services in Action (ASIA) supported the event and provided breakout sessions for topics on Civic Engagement (PAD), Healthy Choices (CHERI), awareness of Human Trafficking (CYF), and College Prep (in partnership with University of Akron).
