We would like to express our great condolences for the woman who died February 24 as a result of domestic violence in Twinsburg, Ohio. You can find more information about this news at: http://www.19actionnews.com/story/21319103/twinsburg-police-investigating-homicide#.USqv9ybcnCY.facebook

In sympathy of this sad news, we are aware of the domestic violence that has been revolving within the Asian American and Pacific Islander communities. More actions need to be taken to protect our communities and to empower women. Asian Pacific Islander women face different barriers to accessing domestic violence resources including language barriers, fear, community pressure, legal obstacles, and lack of self sufficiency. We must also be cautious of the children who might witness those tragedies at home.

ASIA provides comprehensive domestic violence and sexual assault services to Asian immigrant and refugee women in need.  Our services are culturally competent and language assistance is available. If you need help, contact ASIA DV program staff at safeline.asia@gmail.com. All information including identity is kept confidential.  To learn more about the program please contact Eunice Park or Kitty Leung at 216-881-0330 or click here.
