ICE Announces First-Ever Public Advocate

U.S. Immigration and Customers Enforcement (ICE) has named Andrew Lorenzen-Strait as its first-ever public advocate.  In a blog post about his new role, Lorenzen-Strait writes: “…my staff and I will serve as a point of contact for individuals, including those in immigration proceedings, NGOs, and other community and advocacy groups, who have concerns, questions, recommendations or important issues they would like to raise.”
