Knight Foundation hosts community workshop August 23

The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation is hosting a community workshop sponsored in partnership with the University of Akron on Tuesday, August 23 from 1:00 – 5:00 pm.  This half-day workshop will explore how we connect within our community, how we improve openness, and how we strengthen the bonds that make us a great city.

The event will be held at UA’s Student Union (303 Carroll Street.  Parking available in the South Campus Parking deck on Exchange Street).

The workshop identifies key community assets, resources and emotionally engaged citizens who shape Akron. Attendees will develop strategies and tactics to engage locally based solutions that do not require significant resources and can be quickly implemented.
