ASIA was recently mentioned in an article that highlighted the importance of Lending Circle, and the work we’ve accomplished so far.
Bhutanese Women Lending Circle Convening
Each member dutifully chips in $100 a month. They take turns collecting the pot, $600. That helped member Kalpana Mouger’s when her grandmother died last month. She took her share of the kitty early. In her grief, she did not have to worry about how to pay for a funeral.
