Women’s Endowment Fund of Akron Community Foundation awards Paj Tshab (“Reward”) Circle

Akron, Ohio, March 17, 2014- Asian Services In Action, Inc (ASIA, Inc.) is pleased to announce a grant from the Women’s Endowment Fund of Akron Community Foundation that will help address the issue of domestic violence in the Akron Hmong community around abusive international marriages. Hmong community members are aware of the issues surrounding domestic violence in the Hmong community. The grant will help ASIA provide two culture and language-appropriate educational support groups for Hmong women, fostering connectedness through the art of Hmong needlework, and exercise and dance. ASIA,Inc. is grateful to the Women’s Endowment Fund of Akron Community Foundation for its continued support.
