Senate expected to vote on Health Care Funding this week

Two weeks ago, H.R. 2, a bill containing $7 billion in continued funding for Health Centers over the next two years passed the U.S. House of Representatives with 392 “yay” votes. The Senate adjourned without taking action on the bill, which also contains 2-year extensions of funding for the National Health Service Corps, Teaching Health Centers, and the Children’s Health Insurance Program.

Now that Congressional recess has concluded, the Senate is expected to take up and vote on H.R. 2 this week. Take a moment to weigh in on this week and ask Ohio Senators Rob Portman (R) and Sherrod Brown (D) to vote “YES” on HR2 to support Health Centers like ASIA-ICHC.
