Join Downtown Akron Partnership and celebrate the Year of the Horse at the 2026 Downtown Akron Lunar New Year Celebration!
On Saturday, February 28, venue doors open at 3:30 pm for the Culture Fair featuring local vendors, information booths, free crafts, festive photo opportunities, and more.
ASIA will be tabling at the Culture Fair and collecting non-perishable food donations to support our food pantry from 3:30PM-6PM. Anyone who brings in a food item is eligible for a raffle ticket; during the show, a lucky winner will be drawn to win a grand prize of a Lunar New Year-themed LEGO set sponsored by DAP!
House doors open at 5 pm ahead of the 6 pm program, which will feature a lineup of cultural performances on the Akron Civic Theater’s main stage.

The 2026 Downtown Akron Lunar New Year Celebration is presented by Downtown Akron Partnership, with generous support from the City of Akron, Knight Foundation, the Ohio Arts Council, GAR Foundation, Akron Community Foundation, and the Akron Civic Theatre.
