Susan Wong Joins DSAS Advisory Board

In January of 2016, Susan Wong joined The Cuyahoga County Division of Senior and Adult Services (DSAS). She serves as an advisory member to the Community-Based Services Committee providing expertise to ensure the needs of the AAPI community.

Through her commitment as a Community-Based Services Committee member, she serves as an advisory resource to the Division of Senior and Adult Services (DSAS) in the identification, planning, development, implementation and evaluation of community – based services provided to seniors and adults with disabilities throughout Cuyahoga County including policies, quality of services, contracts and operating procedures for these services.

As a long time partner of DSAS, we are happy to see her work being recognized in the community. As Assistant Director of ASIA’s Self-Sufficiency Department and Manager of the Aging and Adult Services Department, Susan have the experience to advocate supportive services to primarily low-income, limited English speaking older adults and seniors in Cuyahoga County.

The mission of DSAS is to empower seniors and adults with disabilities to age successfully by providing resources and support that preserve their independence. They work cooperatively with the Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging (WRAAA) regarding the development of the area plan for Cuyahoga County to include: community planning for the needs of the County’s senior population, making recommendations on allocations for Cuyahoga County providers and other shared concerns that arise.
