The Presidential Pearl Gala is the premier Asian American Pacific Islander ball for the inaugural activities.  The ball was sold out in 2009 with 1500 attendees.

The Presidential Pearl Gala will bring together members of Congress, Asian American and Pacific Islander leaders, entrepreneurs, celebrities, friends and allies to the community, and public policy makers to celebrate AAPI political participation and strategize in anticipation of the new administration and Congressional session.

Gala guests will start the day with briefings which will highlight election voting trends, the presidential appointment process, and the legislative issues before the U.S. Congress.  The Presidential Pearl Gala evening will include a VIP Congressional reception, wonderful cuisine from various Asian countries, a dessert reception and dancing.
