Building Hope in the City volunteers help construct ASIA's community garden

Building Hope in the City‘s CitySERVE volunteers joined with ASIA staff to finish construction of ASIA’s community garden last Saturday, May 7th.Ā  Eight volunteers gathered at the community garden site at E. 45th Street and Payne Avenue in Cleveland to help build wooden beds for gardening, shovel mulch for a walking path, and paint the garden shed and fence.

ASIA’s community garden project is part of the ReImagining Cleveland pilot program, a nationally recognized urban agriculture initiative supported by Neighborhood Progress Inc.

Check out photos from CitySERVE or visit the garden to see for yourself.

Interested volunteers and community gardeners should contact Kitty Leung (kitty.leung@asiaohio.org) or Allison Arsouzy (allison@asiaohio.org) for more information on how to get involved.
