ASIA Hosts First Bridging the Gap Medical Interpreter Training in Akron

AKRON – Asian Services In Action, Inc. (ASIA) hosted the first Bridging the Gap Medical Interpreter training in Akron for area healthcare interpreters on November 9-11 and November 16-18.  Interpreters from the Cleveland courts, ASIA and Cross Thread Solutions, and freelance interpreters attended the 40-hour training.

Special thanks to trainers Milly Valverde, Manager of Interpreter Services at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, and Erika Shell Castro, Director of Interpreter Services at Language Access Network Interpreting.
