ASIA, Inc. Announces Date of 4th Annual Spring Speaker Series

Asian Services In Action, Inc. (ASIA, Inc.) announced today that its 4th Annual Spring Speaker Series event will be held on May 24, 2019, from 9:00 a.m to 11:00 a.m at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Akron. This year’s keynote speaker is Akron’s own, Officer Damber Subba. Officer Subba will discuss his experience as a Nepali refugee from Bhutan, his journey to the Akron Area, and how working as a police officer allows him to serve as a bridge between refugees and the broader Akron community.

Registration for the Spring Speaker Series is now open online at www.asiaohio.org/springseries. Guests can also purchase tickets by calling Kimlee Sureemee at 216-881-0330 Ext. 8811. Single tickets are $30.00 each and group tickets of four or more are $25.00 each. Program advertising is also available.

All ticket sales and general donations will directly support the refugee and immigrant families and individuals that ASIA, Inc. serves annually. Every donation made in 2019 will be matched dollar-for-dollar thanks to the generosity of the New Americans Campaign EFFORTS Fund.
