Akron – We celebrate the news that the federal courts in New York and Washington granted nationwide preliminary injunctions against the Public Charge rule that was supposed to go into effect October 15. Our advocacy made a difference! ASIA, Inc. was one of the many champions in the fight to block the Public Charge rule and our fight isn’t over yet. We will continue to fight any efforts that expand the Public Charge rule.

We applaud the decision of the federal courts in New York and Washington and thank everyone who raised their voice against this harmful policy. Additionally, we appreciate our Social Services team and the members of the International Community Health Center for guiding the community through a period of uncertainty.”
