ASIA, INC.’S AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM RECEIVES GRANT FROM GAR FOUNDATION
Asian Services In Action, Inc. (ASIA, Inc.) receives $50,000 grant from GAR Foundation to fund International Community Empowerment Project (ICEP) Program

Akron, OH – The Distribution Committee of GAR Foundation awarded Asian Services In Action, Inc. (ASIA, Inc.) $50,000 to fund the International Community Empowerment Project (ICEP) at its August 2015 meeting.

ICEP works with immigrant and refugee youth by providing Article Imageculturally and linguistically appropriate school readiness guidance and education as well as acculturation assistance. “ICEP is the oldest program at ASIA, beginning in 1995. The GAR foundation has been an anchor funder for this very critical program,” said Michael Byun, Executive Director.

The award from GAR will be used for the 2015-2016 ICEP elementary school program and the 2015-2016 ICEP middle school program. We encourage you to learn more about ICEP and ICEP’s involvement in Summit County at www.asiaohio.org/ICEP.
