ASIA is pleased to announce that it has received funding from the Ohio CDC Association for a Housing Services AmeriCorps VISTA member.
This VISTA project objective is to expand the capacity of our agency to provide affordable housing, employment, and housing counseling services for Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) immigrants and refugees in Northeast Ohio.
The VISTA project at Asian Services In Action, Inc. is focused around three main project goals of the Ohio CDC Association: 1) to build the capacity of community development corporations (CDCs) to provide affordable housing; 2) to build the capacity of CDCs to provide employment opportunities; and 3) to build the capacity of CDCs to provide housing counseling.
The VISTA member will begin his or her service with ASIA on Friday, July 13, 2012 and serve through July 12, 2013. Heor she must be available to attend a Pre-Service Orientation (PSO) July 11 – 12, 2012 in Lombard, IL (all accommodations will be coordinated and covered by the Corporation for National and Community Service).
