ASIA’s summer programs reach 160+ students

ICEP summer

The end of summer brought great success for ASIA’s student enrichment programs.  In Akron, the International Community Empowerment Program (ICEP) taught 28 elementary students about traffic and water safety, healthy choices, and alcohol and tobacco prevention.  Program highlights included a trip to Munroe Falls.

The Community Adult Mentoring (CAM) program served 30 students on Cleveland’s east side, focusing on English enrichment, outdoor activities, Chinese cultural education, and fitness.  Westside CAM served over 100 students, age K-12 with a focus on ESL education, math, and science.  Lakewood’s Help 2 Others program (H2O) provided teen mentors and the Cleveland Catholic Diocese and the Cleveland Foodbank partnered to provide nutritious breakfast and lunch to the students throughout the summer.
