Distinguished Public Service Scholarship

The Federal Asian Pacific American Council (FAPAC) Endowment Fund is proud to announce the creation of the Distinguished Public Service Scholarship. For the past many years, FAPAC has awarded a number of scholarships and internships to Asian Pacific American college students who exhibit excellent academic achievement as well as demonstrated a continuous effort to foster diversity and community service to the Asian Pacific American community. Starting 2013, the scholarship will be represented through the established FAPAC Endowment Fund in honor of the first Asian Pacific American elected to Congress – the late Dalip Singh Saund, and the honorable former Secretaries Elaine L. Chao and Norman Y. Mineta. The award will be given to the student during the annual FAPAC National Leadership Training Program. The awardee will receive a stipend of $5,000 towards his or her education.

The FAPAC Distinguished Public Service Scholarship Endowment Fund, Inc. is a non-profit organization that promotes the recognition of Asian Pacific American students who is interested in public service and has made contributions to foster diversity and inclusion in the Asian and Pacific American community.
