Lantern Making Workshop, June 30: Light-UP Lantern Festival 2012

New World Performance Lab and “Light-UP” Lantern Festival present PLAYscape! – A Lantern Making Experience on Saturday, June 30th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at 220 Balch Street, Akron, OH 44302. Free, family friendly and open to the public.

Supplies will be available at this workshop to demonstrate lantern making with willows and tissue or recycled materials.  This year’s lantern making theme is “Caravan of Lights”.  Participants are encouraged to bring additional inspirational materials or supplies to help create a gypsy style lantern.  There will be opportunities to create your own lantern, join others to work on a group project, or learn some new techniques to share with others.
